Job summary

Vast Space Llc. in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Coordinator for Structures Manufacturing to oversee flow and readiness of parts on the shop floor. You will coordinate with engineering, procurement, and planning to meet deadlines and quality standards.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in parts handling in manufacturing, inventory experience, and familiarity with MRP/ERP systems. This full-time on-site role offers strong compensation and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent certificate.
2+ years of handling parts in a manufacturing environment.
Inventory experience.
Experience with MRP/ERP systems.

Responsibilities

Monitor, track, and move parts through the shop floor to ensure timely delivery through completion.
Ensure parts are handled properly to avoid damages.
Coordinate with purchasing and logistics to move parts to outsourcing locations.
Collaborate with engineering, planning and procurement to flag shortages ahead of time and meet shop date.
Work with management to ensure metric goals are met.
Communicate part status and completion dates to customers.
Assist leadership with projects and action items as needed.
Support floor with returns to inventory.
Follow up with engineering on open issues blocking RUN completion.
Help correct wrong system data driving incorrect MRP signals.
