Job summary

Vast is hiring a Manufacturing Coordinator, Structures Manufacturing at our Long Beach, CA campus to support design and build of artificial-gravity space station components. The role ensures seamless progression of parts across the shop floor to meet deadlines and quality standards.

Responsibilities include tracking parts, coordinating with purchasing and logistics, flagging shortages early, and communicating status to customers. Requires ability to lift 25lbs and flexibility for overtime.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent certificate.
• Preferred: 2+ years handling parts in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong computer skills.
• Inventory experience.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, track, and move parts through the shop floor to ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate with purchasing and logistics to move parts to outsourcing locations.
• Collaborate with engineering, planning and procurement to flag shortages ahead of time and meet shop floor need dates.
• Communicate part status and completion dates to customers.
• Assist leadership with projects and action items as needed.
• Support shop floor with returns to inventory.
• Follow up with engineering on issues blocking RUN completion.
