Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Level 2/3 in Commerce, CA to design and optimize manufacturing processes for spacecraft hardware. You will review designs for manufacturability, manage BOMs, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time, quality production.

The role requires CAD proficiency, GD&T interpretation, and Lean methodology experience, with opportunities for continuous improvement and tool development on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree; 4 years may substitute for the degree.
• Lean methodologies in manufacturing/production environments; root-cause/Ishikawa analysis.
• AS9100/ISO 9001-2008/AS9145 or similar quality systems experience.
• CAD software proficiency; reading drawings and GD&T.

• Create and improve manufacturing processes to meet hardware requirements.
• Review designs for manufacturability and BOM management (MRP).
• Provide technical guidance to operations and develop work instructions.
