Job summary

Northrop Grumman’s Commerce, CA propulsion team seeks a Manufacturing Engineer Level 6 to own additive manufacturing and manufacturing readiness for high‑level aerospace tank hardware. You will lead process development, GD&T analysis, and multi‑axis CAM strategies, collaborating across design and production on technical baselines.

You will build process qualification, tooling, inspection plans, and readiness metrics while guiding cross‑functional teams on shop-floor endeavors and risk

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, aerospace engineering, or a related STEM discipline.
• 14+ years of experience in manufacturing or process development (implied by senior role)

Responsibilities

• Own and oversee integrated additive manufacturing strategy and downstream machining.
• Translate product requirements into manufacturing processes, controls and readiness evidence.
• Lead DFM/DFA assessments and provide actionable recommendations for design-for-manufacturing.
