Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II for BE-4 Final Assembly on a B-shift (Mon–Thu, 3pm–1am). You will design and implement efficient manufacturing systems, ensure quality control, and optimize the production flow for BE-4 engines.

You will work with design, quality, supply chain, and production teams to develop repeatable processes, create work instructions, and explore new manufacturing technologies to reduce cycle times and improve first-time quality.

Qualifications

• 3+ years Level 2 Manufacturing Engineer, 5+ years Level 3, or 8+ years Sr Manufacturing Engineer
• 1+ years of experience creating English work instructions
• Experience in aerospace or high-rate assembly environments is a plus

Responsibilities

• Contribute to DFM/ DFA/ DFT for reliable space vehicles
• Translate engineering requirements into robust manufacturing processes
• Collaborate with design, QA, supply chain, and production teams
• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation and inspection plans
• Evaluate new manufacturing technologies and methods
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with AS9100/ISO 9001 quality standards
• Participate in FMEAs, risk assessments, and validation
• Apply AI technologies alongside traditional tools to optimize processes
