Job summary

Blue Origin, located in Huntsville, AL, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to design and implement efficient manufacturing systems for space vehicle production. You will lead DFx efforts and collaborate with design, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure high reliability and cost-effective production.

The role emphasizes process improvement, documentation, and adopting new manufacturing technologies to advance BE-4/BE-3U engines and space programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university.
• Experience in a manufacturing engineering role across levels up to Sr Manufacturing Engineer.
• 1+ years of experience creating English work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design for manufacturability (DFM), DFA, DFT for reliable space vehicles.
• Translate requirements into robust manufacturing processes supporting Blue Origin’s mission.
• Collaborate with design engineering, QA, supply chain, and production teams to accelerate building toward space.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation including work instructions and process flow diagrams.
• Evaluate and implement new manufacturing technologies and methods (machining, welding, additive manufacturing).
• Support root cause analysis of process or product non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
