Job summary

Wabtec Corporation is seeking a Southeast USA Regional Sales Manager to drive contracts in the power generation sector within a defined U.S. territory. The role emphasizes technical sales expertise, strategic account management, and managing a network of third-party sales agents to grow revenue.

You will travel within the territory (approximately 50%) and collaborate with engineering, marketing, and operations teams to deliver value-driven solutions and quotations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineering (candidates with other degrees may be considered with strong mechanical aptitude)
• 6 to 9 years of experience in technical sales, application support or engineering in the power generation industry
• Valid driver’s license
• This role requires travel within a defined geographic territory in the United States (approximately 50%).

Responsibilities

• Submit monthly territory reports detailing sales activities, market developments, competitive intelligence, and key opportunities.
• Participate in monthly sales meetings and teleconferences and report on sales efforts and new business developments.
• Attend trade shows, customer events, and industry functions as directed.
• Visit customer sites for project scoping and equipment inspections.
• Maintain regular communication with Marketing and Sales Director.
• Interface effectively with Application Engineering and manufacturing to develop customer solutions and resolve concerns.
• Deliver on commitments and ensure timely follow-up and responsiveness to customer needs.
• Provide exceptional customer support before, during, and after the sales process.
