Job summary

Cloudera is seeking a Solutions Engineer to drive the technical pre-sales motion with Account Executives, winning deals and building lasting customer relationships. You will run deep discovery, unpack business drivers, and design tailored solutions leveraging the CDP platform.

You will create impactful demos and proofs-of-concept, collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate customer needs into measurable business outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a pre-sales customer-facing role (Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, or equivalent).
• Experience with technical discovery, demos, and proof of concepts to drive business outcomes.
• Experience with public cloud infra (AWS/Azure/GCP) and interest in cloud certs.
• Familiarity with Hadoop ecosystem and data lake architectures.
• Knowledge of SQL and relational database patterns; integration experience.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer pain points into high-value technical outcomes.
• Create design architectures and business outcomes for varied stakeholders.
• Lead discovery workshops and deliver tailored solution designs and demos.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product, Services, and Engineering to share Cloudera's vision.
