Cloudera, a leader in data platforms, seeks a Solutions Engineer to drive pre-sales success. You will partner with Account Executives to understand customer drivers, craft tailored CDP-based designs, and deliver impactful demos and proofs of concept that demonstrate measurable value.

Strong cloud, Hadoop, and data-lake expertise are essential. You will collaborate across Sales, Marketing, Product, Services, Support and Engineering to translate customer needs into solutions, and you will

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a pre-sales customer-facing role with enterprise co-selling experience.
• Experience with technical discovery, whiteboarding, demos, and PoCs to drive outcomes.
• Experience with public cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) and interest in certification.
• Knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem and centralized data architectures.
• Understanding of Data Lakes, Data Warehousing concepts, SQL patterns.
• Experience with streaming/ETL tools and integration platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery and design tailored solutions in the pre-sales lifecycle.
• Deliver architecture designs and business outcomes to diverse stakeholders.
• Advise on use-case patterns through workshops and requirement analysis.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, Services, and Engineering to align vision.
• Translate customer feedback into roadmap items and strategic actions.
• Promote open-source ecosystems and contribute to knowledge bases.
• Engage in evangelism activities and customer-facing community building.
