Job summary

Cloudera Government Solutions in New York is seeking a mid-senior Solutions Engineer to drive technical pre-sales and map customer data needs to concrete architectures. You will partner with Account Executives to run discovery, design tailored solutions, and present impactful demos and PoCs to enterprise stakeholders.

You will work with cross-functional teams across Sales, Marketing, Product, Services, Support, Training, and Engineering to articulate Cloudera’s data platform value.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a pre-sales customer facing role in enterprise settings.
• Proven ability to conduct technical discovery, whiteboard solutions, demos, and PoCs.
• Experience with public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP) and pursuing cloud certs.
• Knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem and data lake architectures.
• Able to map customer needs to technical designs and roadmaps.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery and design custom solutions with executives and engineers.
• Deliver tailored solution designs, architectures, and compelling business outcomes.
• Advise customers on use case patterns and requirements workshops.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product, Services, and Support teams.
• Translate customer feedback into actionable product roadmap items.
• Promote and contribute to open-source data ecosystems and learning resources.
