Job summary

Cloudera is seeking a mid-senior Solutions Engineer to drive the technical pre-sales motion in collaboration with Account Executives. You will run deep discovery, design tailored solutions, deliver demos and PoCs, and articulate measurable business outcomes using Cloudera's CDP platform.

You'll work with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Services, and Engineering to translate customer needs into actionable roadmaps, champion open-source ecosystems, and help customers adopt scalable data

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in a pre-sales role interfacing with business and technical stakeholders.
• Experience conducting technical discovery, whiteboarding, demos, and PoCs.
• Familiarity with public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and desire for cloud certs.
• Knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem and data lake/warehousing concepts.
• SQL and relational patterns knowledge; basic software development skills.
• Ability to translate customer pain points into technical and business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery and custom solution design in the pre-sales lifecycle.
• Deliver impactful demos and PoCs, translating needs into architectures.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product and Engineering to share Cloudera's vision.
• Champion open-source data ecosystems and contribute to knowledge repositories.
