Job summary

Cloudera is seeking a Solutions Engineer to drive pre-sales, partnering with Account Executives to win deals and build long-lasting relationships. You will run deep discovery, design tailored solutions, deliver impactful demos and proofs-of-concept that demonstrate measurable value of Cloudera's CDP platform.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in pre-sales, strong cloud experience, and knowledge of Hadoop ecosystems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional work experience in a pre-sales customer-facing role (Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, or similar).
• Experience with technical discovery, whiteboarding proposed solutions, and demos to drive business outcomes.
• Experience with public cloud infrastructures (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.).
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical field.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout the pre-sales lifecycle, leading discovery, solution design, and interactive demos.
• Create and deliver customer-centric solution designs, architectures, and business outcomes.
• Advise customers on use case patterns through discovery and workshops.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product, Services, and Engineering to share Cloudera’s Vision.
