Job summary

Sequel.io is seeking a technically fluent Solutions Engineer to partner with customers from day one, owning integrations and driving data-informed solutions. You will coordinate with Account Managers and internal teams to ensure customer outcomes, while onboarding new customers and maintaining robust integration guides.

The role blends hands-on technical work with a customer-first mindset, requiring experience across CRM systems, APIs, and analytics, in a remote-first environment with NY/SF hub

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a Solutions Engineer, Technical Account Manager, Implementation Engineer, or similar customer-facing technical role.
• Hands-on experience designing and troubleshooting integrations: CRM (Salesforce, Marketo, Hubspot), API integrations (authentication, webhooks, rate limiting, error handling)

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery sessions to understand customer goals, workflows, and pain points with key integrations (CRM, CMS).
• Design and recommend solutions with API components and data integration patterns to map to customer outcomes.
• Own solution design documentation and updated technical docs (support articles).
• Lead end-to-end technical onboarding for new customers, including integration setup, configuration, and validation.
• Troubleshoot integration issues, manage a support queue, and resolve blockers quickly.
• Build and maintain integration guides and self-serve troubleshooting resources.
• Monitor account health and surface technical risks before they impact customers.
• Help customers unlock value from their data by advising on reporting strategies and analytics best practices.
• Identify patterns across accounts and surface insights to Product and CS leadership.
• Work with Account Managers on technical integration and troubleshooting; identify expansion opportunities.
• Act as the technical voice in renewal conversations and upsell discussions.
• Serve as the feedback loop between customers and Product/Engineering—document feature requests and bugs; contribute to internal playbooks and knowledge bases.
• Mentor junior team members and share integration and solutioning best practices.
