Job summary

Austincc is seeking a Solution Engineer to sit at the intersection of technical depth and client-facing work. You'll help customers determine true needs and translate them into proposals for unmanned forklift and AGV systems.

This role blends technical authority with trusted advisory duties. You'll lead requirements gathering, design tailored technical proposals, and work cross-functionally with R&D and project management to hand off projects cleanly.

Qualifications

• Background in mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering, robotics or a related technical field.
• Experience in pre-sales, solution engineering, or technical consulting — ideally in automation, logistics, or manufacturing.
• On-site survey experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients and work alongside the sales team to gather requirements, run on-site surveys, and lead technical discussions from first call through close.
• Design AGV and unmanned forklift technical proposals, bid documents, and technical agreements tailored to each client's operation.
• Work cross-functionally with R&D and project management to evaluate solution feasibility and hand off projects cleanly.
• Lead or support technical presentations, contract negotiations, and client training sessions — sometimes solo, sometimes as part of a team.
