Job summary

Tom Trese Networking LLC is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in Morris County, NJ. The role centers on SolidWorks-based design of water and wastewater equipment and producing fabrication drawings for the shop to build from.

You will own conveyor and new equipment layouts, visit the fabrication shop, and incorporate fabricator input to improve designs. 3–4 years of SolidWorks experience and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering are required. 100% onsite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or closely related).
• 3–4 years of solid mechanical design experience with SolidWorks.
• Ability to design for fabrication and work with shop personnel.

Responsibilities

• Design water and wastewater equipment in SolidWorks and produce fabrication drawings.
• Determine how to build customer-required equipment, including new designs.
• Carry conveyor designs from requirements through drawings.
• Visit fabrication shop to review plans and resolve build questions.
• Prepare drawings for outside fabricators with required detail.
• Support the project engineer with design work for each order.
• Ensure details are correct so equipment is built right the first time.
