Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical or Renewable Engineering required.
• NEC/NESC knowledge essential.
• Experience with electrical distribution, generation design.
• 3–7 years in electrical design for solar projects.
• Ability to read and create construction drawings and specs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering portions of solar projects.
• Ensure electrical scope aligns with contract and manage change orders.
• Maintain project schedules for electrical deliverables.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, survey, and geotechnical teams.
• Prepare construction documents and electrical calculations.
• Perform short circuit, load flow, and voltage drop studies.
• Interface with clients, utilities, and authorities having jurisdiction.
• QA/QC of work by interns and junior staff.
• Mentor and train junior engineers and designers.
