Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to design solar PV systems, including plant layout, hardware selection, optimization, and interconnection requirements.

You will lead electrical engineering portions, coordinate with Project Lead and senior engineers, and oversee junior engineers on the project. The role involves supervising interns or new grads, maintaining firm standards, and ensuring on-time delivery of electrical deliverables while collaborating

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Engineering.
• Knowledge of NEC and NESC.
• Proficiency with electrical power system modeling software.
• 3–7 years in electrical distribution, generation, or construction.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering portions of commercial and utility-scale solar projects.
• Coordinate with project teams and manage design deliverables.
• QA/QC of designs, check drawings, and supervise interns or junior staff.
• Ensure schedules for electrical scope are met and manage change orders with the PM.
• Assist with client and utility coordination and prepare technical reports.
