Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to support our Renewables Division. This role focuses on designing solar photovoltaic systems, plant layout, selecting hardware, and optimizing performance, while coordinating with project leads and senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Renewable Engineering.
• Knowledge of NEC and NESC applied to design.
• 3–7 years of experience in electrical distribution/generation design.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering portions of commercial and utility scale solar.
• Coordinate changes with project manager and verify scope incorporation.
• Maintain deliverable schedules for electrical scope.
• Coordinate with civil, geotechnical/structural engineers and surveyors.
• Create construction documents and perform electrical calculations.
• QA/QC of design work and mentor interns/grad engineers.
