Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to design solar PV systems, including plant layout, selecting hardware, and optimizing performance for the Power Division.

You will coordinate with the project lead and senior engineers to maintain standards and lead junior engineers on projects. The role requires EN/NEC knowledge, 3–7 years of electrical design experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD and power system modeling tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Engineering program required.
• Strong knowledge of NEC and NESC codes.
• Experience with electrical power system modeling software and AutoCAD.
• 3–7 years in electrical design for distribution/generation projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering portions of commercial and utility-scale solar projects.
• Coordinate with project leads, senior engineers, and other disciplines to meet design standards.
• Supervise and mentor interns or junior engineers on design tasks.
• Produce construction documents and electrical calculations and studies.
