Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical or Renewable Engineering is required.
• Knowledge of NEC and NESC is essential.
• Experience with electrical power system modeling tools is expected.
• Strong proposal writing and project budgeting experience sought.
• Ability to read and create construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience leading electrical design teams on solar projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering for commercial and utility-scale solar projects.
• Manage design budgets and ensure budget adherence.
• Coordinate electrical scope with project managers and other disciplines.
• Prepare proposals, scopes, and fees for electrical work in RFP responses.
• Oversee staff performing calculations and studies (short circuit, load flow, voltage drop).
• Mentor graduate engineers and designers; supervise timesheets and PTO where applicable.
• Be primary electrical client contact and QA/QC lead for designs.
• Collaborate with offices to share workloads and resources.
• Support construction with RFIs and submittal reviews.
