Job summary

Origis Energy in Hamilton, TX, seeks a Contractor - Solar PV & BESS O&M Technician to maintain and repair utility-scale solar PV and energy storage systems. You will perform inspections, preventives, and fixes, while following safety protocols and using CMMS to document activities.

Responsibilities include monitoring with SCADA, troubleshooting, mentoring junior techs, and coordinating with remote operators to resolve site issues efficiently.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; electrical certifications or training preferred.
• Experience in large-scale solar O&M.
• Competency in industrial or utility power operations and maintenance.
• Proficiency reading electrical schematics, operating SCADA, and CMMS.
• Strong computer skills, particularly in SCADA and CMMS applications.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs on AC and DC systems.
• Monitor plant operations through SCADA and contribute to commissioning and testing.
• Follow safety protocols, including JHA and LOTO.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and support maintenance as required.
• Lead advanced troubleshooting and develop maintenance schedules.
• Train junior technicians and provide guidance.
• Maintain CMMS records of maintenance activities.
