Job summary

Origis Energy in Columbus, MS is seeking a Solar PV & BESS O&M Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair utility-scale solar PV and energy storage systems. You will work with AC/DC systems, inverters, and SCADA, following safety procedures.

The role requires reading schematics, performing preventive maintenance, and supporting remote operators. On-site responsibilities include installation tasks with torque and calibration and mentoring junior technicians.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; electrical certifications or relevant training preferred.
• Experience with large-scale solar O&M operations is preferred and beneficial.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and operate SCADA/CMMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on AC/DC systems including inverters and switchgear.
• Monitor plant operations via SCADA and support testing, commissioning, and system modifications.
• Follow safety protocols such as JHA and LOTO and maintain records in CMMS.
