Job summary

Origis Energy is seeking a Contractor - Solar PV & BESS O&M Technician in Texas to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair utility-scale solar and energy storage systems. This role emphasizes safety and independent work under established procedures.

The technician will perform preventative and corrective maintenance, monitor equipment via SCADA, and document activities in CMMS, contributing to reliable site operations.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and high school diploma or equivalent (electrical certifications preferred).
• Experience in large-scale solar O&M; familiarity with industrial power operations.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and operate SCADA/CMMS for maintenance tracking.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work with multiple OEM systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on AC/DC systems including inverters, modules, transformers, and switchgear.
• Monitor plant operations via SCADA and assist with commissioning, testing, and modifications.
• Follow safety protocols (JHA, LOTO) and document maintenance in CMMS.
• Lead advanced troubleshooting and develop maintenance plans; train junior technicians.
