Job summary

Origis Energy is seeking a Contractor - Solar PV & BESS O&M Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair utility-scale solar PV and energy storage systems. The role requires a strong understanding of solar operations and electrical systems, with the ability to work independently while following established safety procedures.

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, corrective repairs, system monitoring, and documenting activities.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent with electrical certifications preferred.
• Experience in large-scale solar O&M and electrical troubleshooting is required.
• Proficiency reading electrical schematics, operating SCADA, and CMMS for maintenance tracking.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to follow LOTO and JHA protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and corrective repairs on AC/DC systems (inverters, PV modules, transformers, switchgear, HV components).
• Monitor plant operations via SCADA; assist commissioning, testing, and system modifications.
• Adhere to safety protocols (JHA, LOTO) and maintain detailed maintenance records in CMMS.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and support maintenance tasks as needed.
• Coordinate with remote operators to identify and resolve site issues efficiently.
• Provide guidance to junior technicians and help develop maintenance plans.
