Job summary

Clēnera, a Boise-based developer and producer of solar and storage facilities, is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to independently manage coordination, documentation, and financial tracking across 2–4 projects. This role supports the Project Manager, identifies risks, and helps ensure successful execution and smooth turnover to operations.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field and at least 3 years of large-scale construction experience,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, business, public administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in large-scale construction project management, engineering, or similar; solar/energy storage experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Procore; ability to learn company-specific tools and processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-construction support: review designs, monitor milestones, coordinate with engineering, legal, and permitting teams.
• Manage procurement tracking: review submittals, track schedules, monitor spare parts and long-lead items.
• Track construction progress against schedule; identify delays and provide mitigation recommendations.
• Administer RFIs, submittals, change orders, and EPC deliverables; maintain workflows.
• Support change management by evaluating change orders and cost/schedule impacts.
• Oversee financial management activities: review pay applications, validate invoices, track budgets.
• Support site safety, quality control, and inspections per standards and regulations.
• Serve as hub between Project Manager, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.
• Lead closeout activities: punch lists, turnover docs, final inspections, handoff to Portfolio Operations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally across departments to ensure timelines and deliverables.
