Clēnera, LLC is seeking a Sr. Project Engineer in Boise to lead performance analysis and design for utility-scale solar and energy storage projects. You’ll guide modeling, due diligence, and contract discussions, partnering with senior leadership to drive technical excellence.

The role requires 7+ years in electrical engineering with 5+ years in PV/storage, and you’ll work in a hybrid environment with cross‑functional teams across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in electrical engineering or power industry; 5+ years in PV/storage.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; capable of learning company tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced performance analysis and design for solar/storage projects.
• Review PV and storage production estimates and third‑party studies.
• Guide in‑house modeling and evolving best practices.
• Oversee IE due diligence, contracts, and energy assessments.
• Provide SME guidance and collaborate across departments.
• Lead technical negotiations for EPC, PPA, interconnection, and O&M.
• Review site layouts, system designs, and value engineering options.
