Job summary

Clēnera is seeking a Sr. Project Engineer in Boise, Idaho to provide advanced performance analysis, design expertise, and technical due diligence across development, design, construction, and operation phases of utility-scale solar and storage projects.

You will lead the Engineering team technical efforts, collaborate with senior leadership, and guide evaluations of equipment, models, and contract negotiations to ensure optimal project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field.
• Experience: 7+ years in electrical engineering or power sector, including 5+ years in PV and/or energy storage engineering.
• Proficiency with MS Office and ability to learn company-specific tools.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate equipment and design specifications for PV/storage projects.
• Create/review PV and storage production estimates using PVsyst or in-house models.
• Lead IE due diligence and contract reviews with procurement and financing teams.
• Provide SME guidance, lead engineering design reviews, and collaborate cross-functionally.
