Job summary

NovaSource Power Services in the United States seeks a Maintenance Technician to support the operation and upkeep of utility-scale PV plants. You will monitor plant performance via SCADA, perform commissioning, testing, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on inverters, transformers, switchgear, and related equipment.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in a related role or journeyman certification, strong electrical safety knowledge, and the ability to work independently in field conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college or technical degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in a related position or journey-level certification.
• Experience in operating and maintaining power plant electrical systems, SCADA and controls systems operation, troubleshooting advanced electrical components, and using procedures to perform equipment preventative and corrective maintenance preferred.
• Ability to operate safely and work in field conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM work and maintenance on site components.
• Promote safety and adhere to company protocols.
• Complete work orders and documentation.
• Assist in planning, installation, commissioning and testing on-site.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and ensure quality control.
• Verify SCADA site configuration and equipment testing.
