Job summary

NovaSource Power Services is seeking a dedicated Power Plant Technician to support maintenance and operation of utility-scale PV plants. You will monitor SCADA, assist in commissioning, testing, and repairing AC/DC systems, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in a related role or journeyman certification, with strong electrical knowledge, CMMS proficiency, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a related position or Journey level certification.
• Experience operating and maintaining power plant electrical systems, SCADA and controls systems operation; troubleshooting advanced electrical components.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; college/technical degree preferred; electrical certifications a plus.
• Equivalent training in military, utility, or power industry a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform quarterly KPIs: energy generation, maintenance timeliness, and plant/equipment efficiency.
• Promote a safe work environment and comply with company protocols.
• Manage PM work with supervision: measuring, testing, and maintenance of site components.
• Ensure documentation and reports are completed, filed, and reviewed.
