Job summary

NovaSource Power Services is seeking a Utility Solar Technician II to support Desert Center, CA. You will maintain and operate a utility-scale PV plant, monitor via SCADA, and perform commissioning, testing, inspection, troubleshooting, and repairs on AC/DC solar PV systems.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of related experience or journeyman certification, a High School Diploma (college/technical degree preferred), and a strong safety mindset with knowledge of electrical codes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• College or technical degree preferred.
• Equivalent training in military, utility, or power industry a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor PV plant operation via SCADA and perform commissioning, testing, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and modification of AC and DC solar PV systems.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and adhere to safety standards.
• Maintain documentation and reports, follow procedures, and coordinate with stakeholders.
