Job summary

NovaSource Power Services is seeking a Utility Solar Technician II for Gustine, CA. The role focuses on maintaining and operating a utility-scale PV plant, with duties spanning SCADA monitoring, commissioning, testing, and electrical system upkeep.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of related experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a safety-focused mindset with knowledge of LOTO and arc flash standards. Travel may be required; competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a related position or Journey level certification.
• Experience in operating and maintaining power plant electrical systems, SCADA and controls operation, troubleshooting advanced electrical components.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; college/technical degree preferred.
• Equivalent training in military, utility, or power industry a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor PV Plant operation through SCADA and inspect inverters, transformers, switchgear, and meters.
• Perform commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying AC/DC PV systems.
• Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance per procedures.
• Ensure safety protocols and environmental procedures are followed.
