Job summary

NovaSource Power Services is seeking a Utility Solar Technician I for Moapa Valley, NV. You will monitor PV plant operations via SCADA, perform commissioning, testing, inspection and repair of AC/DC systems including inverters and transformers. A high school diploma is required, with 1 year of related experience.

College or technical degree is preferred and military/utility training a plus. Travel may be required; competitive pay, PTO, bonus opportunities, health coverage, and 401(k) are offered.

• Equivalent training in military, utility, or power industry a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor PV plant operation via SCADA and perform commissioning, testing, inspecting and repairing AC/DC solar PV systems.
• Repair and modify inverters, PV module arrays, transformers, switchgear, and metering systems.
• Follow operating, switching, maintenance, safety and environmental procedures.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and maintain documentation.
