Job summary

NovaSource Power Services is seeking a Utility Solar Technician I for the Tonopah, AZ site. The role focuses on operation and maintenance of utility-scale PV plants, with responsibilities including SCADA monitoring, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of PV systems such as inverters, modules, transformers, and switchgear.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in a related role, a high school diploma or equivalent, and may have a college/technical degree or military utility

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• College or technical degree preferred.
• Equivalent training in military, utility, or power industry a plus.
• 1 year of experience in a related position.

Responsibilities

• Monitor PV Plant operation through SCADA.
• Assist in commissioning, testing, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying AC and DC solar PV systems including inverters, PV module arrays, transformers, switchgear, and metering systems.
• Maintain safety and environmental procedures and follow Lockout-Tag-Out processes.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and complete CMMS work orders.
