Job summary

NovaSource Power Services in Pueblo, CO is seeking a Utility Solar Technician II to maintain and operate utility-scale PV plants. You will monitor systems via SCADA, perform commissioning, testing, inspection and repairs to AC/DC solar components, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires 2+ years of related experience or a journey-level certification, with a strong emphasis on electrical codes, schematics, and CMMS documentation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a related position or journey-level certification.
• Experience operating and maintaining power plant electrical systems, SCADA and controls.
• Knowledge of local and national electrical codes; ability to read schematics and prints.

Responsibilities

• Monitor PV plant operation through SCADA and perform commissioning, testing, inspection, troubleshooting, repair and modification of AC/DC solar PV systems and components.
• Operate and maintain electrical systems in utility-scale solar plants, including inverters, transformers, switchgear and metering.
• Follow safety, environment and procedural requirements; document work orders and reports.
