Job summary

SOLV Energy, including its SDI Services affiliate, seeks a Solar Superintendent to lead construction operations at a Peoria, IL site. You will oversee planning, crew management, and drilling activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.

The role demands strong geotechnical knowledge, solid project management, and the ability to coordinate with engineering teams while upholding OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED plus 4 years of related experience; progressed in field.
• Union related experience is a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Experience in foundation drilling and construction project management may substitute for formal education.
• Commitment to safety and on-site regulatory adherence.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specs.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and oversee solar construction operations, ensuring safety and specs.
• Lead solar construction crews, equipment, and subcontractors to meet goals and deadlines.
• Collaborate with engineering to interpret geotechnical data and optimize foundations.
• Develop construction schedules, budgets, and resource plans; monitor progress.
• Inspect sites for soil conditions, drilling progress, and quality control.
• Enforce safety protocols and conduct safety meetings.
• Maintain equipment and manage inventory for drilling operations.
• Prepare reports and updates for stakeholders.
• Manage a crew to complete work on time and within budget.
• Lead foundation drilling projects from start to finish.
