Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Solar Superintendent to oversee construction operations and lead drilling and foundation activities on a Peoria, IL jobsite. You will coordinate crews, subcontractors, and equipment while ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

Responsibility includes interpreting geotechnical data, selecting drilling methods, and managing schedules and budgets. Strong leadership and communication are essential for cross-functional collaboration on utility-scale solar projects.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED plus 4 years of related experience; progression may offset formal education.
• Union experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with MS Office and project documentation.
• Safety culture on-site must be enforced and demonstrated.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee solar construction operations, ensuring safety and project specs.
• Lead crews, equipment, and subcontractors to meet goals and deadlines.
• Collaborate with engineering to interpret geotechnical data and drilling methods.
• Develop schedules, budgets, and resource plans; monitor progress.
• Conduct site inspections of soil, drilling progress, and QA.
• Enforce safety protocols with regular crew trainings.
• Maintain equipment and manage inventory for drilling ops.
• Resolve technical issues and ensure smooth project execution.
• Prepare reports and updates for stakeholders.
• Lead foundation drilling projects from start to finish.
