Job summary

SOLV Energy is hiring a Solar Superintendent to oversee on-site solar construction projects at a Peoria, IL jobsite. You will manage crews, equipment, subcontractors, and safety across geotechnical-driven foundations while coordinating with engineering for optimal drilling methods.

This leadership role requires strong project management, budgeting, and problem-solving skills to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Daily collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED plus 4 years of related experience; progression acceptable.
• Union related experience is a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Foundation drilling and construction PM experience may substitute for formal education.
• Enforce safety on-site and uphold high safety standards.
• Maintain quality to meet project specs and client expectations.
• Identify and resolve issues; work independently.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and oversee solar construction operations within safety regulations.
• Lead crews, equipment, and subcontractors to meet goals and deadlines.
• Collaborate with engineering to interpret geotechnical data and drilling methods.
• Develop schedules, budgets, and resource plans; monitor progress.
• Conduct site inspections of soil, drilling progress, and QC.
• Enforce safety protocols with regular safety meetings.
• Maintain equipment, order supplies, and manage inventory.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement solutions.
• Prepare reports and project updates for stakeholders.
• Lead foundation drilling projects from start to finish.
