Job summary

SOLV Energy, a leading provider of solar and infrastructure services, is seeking a Solar Superintendent for a full-time on-site role at our Peoria, IL jobsite. You will oversee planning and execution of solar construction, requiring strong geotechnical knowledge, drilling methods, and project management.

Lead crews, coordinate with engineering, manage schedules and budgets, ensure safety, and deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 4 years related experience.
• Union related experience is a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Experience in foundation drilling and construction project management may be considered.
• Maintain safety culture on-site and ensure compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and oversee solar construction operations, ensuring safety and project specs.
• Lead solar construction crews, equipment, and subcontractors to meet goals and deadlines.
• Collaborate with engineers to interpret geotechnical data and optimize foundation designs.
• Develop schedules, budgets, and resource plans, monitor progress and adjust as needed.
• Conduct site inspections to assess soil conditions, drilling progress, and quality control.
• Enforce safety protocols, conduct safety meetings, and train crew members.
• Maintain equipment, order supplies, and manage inventory for drilling operations.
• Resolve technical issues and troubleshoot equipment to ensure smooth execution.
• Prepare reports and project updates for stakeholders and management.
• Lead and manage foundation drilling projects from start to finish.
