Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Solar Superintendent for full-time site leadership in Peoria, IL. You will oversee solar construction, coordinate drilling, manage crews and subcontractors, and ensure safety and quality across projects.

Responsibilities include scheduling, budgeting, and collaboration with engineering to optimize foundation designs, while maintaining on-time, within-budget delivery and strong client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED plus 4 years of related experience or progressive advancement in the field.
• Experience in foundation drilling and construction project management is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of geotechnical principles and soil mechanics; ability to interpret data and plans.
• Commitment to safety and OSHA regulations; ability to lead on-site teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and oversee solar construction operations, ensuring safety and specs.
• Lead crews, equipment, and subcontractors to meet deadlines and budgets.
• Collaborate with engineering to interpret geotechnical data and drilling methods.
• Develop schedules, budgets, and resource plans; monitor progress and adjust as needed.
• Inspect sites for soil conditions, drilling progress, and quality control.
• Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety meetings.
• Maintain equipment and manage inventory for drilling operations.
• Troubleshoot issues and implement solutions for project execution.
• Prepare reports and updates for stakeholders; manage a crew end-to-end.
