Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Solar Superintendent to lead construction operations on utility-scale solar projects. This full-time on-site role sits at a Peoria, IL jobsite within the SDI Services affiliate, applying geotechnical knowledge and strong project management to deliver projects safely, on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED plus 4 years of related experience; equivalent progression considered.
• Experience in foundation drilling or construction management is a plus.
• On-site safety enforcement and compliance with regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and oversee solar construction operations on projects.
• Lead crews, equipment, and subcontractors to meet goals and deadlines.
• Collaborate with engineering to interpret geotechnical data and drilling methods.
• Develop construction schedules, budgets and allocate resources.
• Conduct site inspections for soil conditions and drilling progress.
• Enforce safety protocols and train crew members in best practices.
• Maintain equipment and manage inventory for drilling operations.
• Resolve technical issues and troubleshoot equipment problems.
• Prepare reports and project updates for stakeholders.
