Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Solar Superintendent to oversee and coordinate solar construction operations on a full-time site in Peoria, IL. The role requires deep knowledge of geotechnical engineering, drilling methods, and project management to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.

You will manage crews, equipment, and subcontractors, collaborate with engineering teams on geotechnical data, and develop schedules and budgets while enforcing safety protocols and quality standards

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 4+ years of related experience.
• MS Office proficiency (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Safety culture on-site enforcement and regulatory compliance.
• Experience in foundation drilling and construction project management.
• Ability to work independently and lead teams.
• Union related experience is a plus and OSHA knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and oversee solar construction operations with safety compliance.
• Lead crews, equipment, and subcontractors to meet goals.
• Collaborate with engineering to interpret geotechnical data and drilling methods.
• Develop schedules, budgets, and resource plans; monitor progress.
• Conduct site inspections of soil conditions and drilling progress.
• Enforce safety protocols and train crew members.
• Maintain equipment and manage inventory for drilling operations.
• Resolve technical issues to ensure smooth project execution.
• Prepare reports and updates for stakeholders and management.
• Lead foundation drilling projects from start to finish within budget.
