AES Corporation's Operations team in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a Solar Technician with preventative and corrective maintenance experience to maintain utility-scale solar assets. You will perform routine and corrective maintenance on inverters, trackers, PV modules, and related electrical systems, ensuring safe, compliant operation.

The role requires strong safety practices, knowledge of SCADA/CMMS, and the ability to work with field leads, with relocation if needed.

Qualifications

• Safety-minded with knowledge of LOTO and electrical safety.
• Experience with electrical systems in power plants.
• Ability to read English and communicate effectively.

Responsabilités

• Responsible for O&M activities at solar PV sites and substations in California.
• Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on inverters, trackers, modules, and related equipment.
• Execute routine maintenance, calibration, and basic troubleshooting.
• Prepare and implement switching and clearance orders.
• Operate electrical and mechanical power plant systems safely.
• Participate in training and recordkeeping duties.
• Assist with documents like Plant Orders and Operating Instructions.
• Ensure compliance with Environmental and Safety requirements.
• Work independently or in teams as needed.
