Job summary

AES Clean Energy in Bakersfield, CA, is seeking a Solar Technician with preventive and corrective maintenance experience. You will support O&M activities for utility-scale solar sites in California, working with inverters, trackers, and PV equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience with electrical systems and safety principles (LOTO, electrical safety).
• Experience with SCADA and CMMS is highly recommended.
• Ability to operate in a cross-functional, geographically diverse organization.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Maintain assigned solar PV sites and substations in California's Central Valley.
• Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance for equipment (inverters, trackers, DC/AC systems).
• Execute switching and clearance orders and operate power plant systems.
• Assist with vegetation management and plant documentation.
• Ensure compliance with Environmental and Safety requirements.
