The AES Corporation in Chowchilla, CA is seeking a Solar Technician with preventive and corrective maintenance experience to ensure reliable operation of solar PV sites and associated equipment. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, able to take direction from Field Service leads, and prepared to relocate if necessary.

The role focuses on maintaining inverters, trackers, and DC/AC collection systems, with emphasis on safety, teamwork, and adherence to environmental requirements.

Qualificações

• Experience with electrical systems and safety principles (LOTO, Electrical Safety).
• Familiarity with SCADA and CMMS systems is highly beneficial.
• Ability to collaborate across a cross-functional, geographically diverse team.

Responsabilidades

• Perform preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance on solar PV sites and substations.
• Handle routine maintenance, calibration, and inverter troubleshooting within qualified scope.
• Prepare switching and clearance orders and operate power plant systems safely.
• Contribute to plant documentation, procedures, and operating instructions.
• Support vegetation management and site upkeep as needed.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and safety requirements.
