Job summary

The AES Corporation in California seeks an experienced PV O&M Solar Technician to support utility-scale solar plants in the Central Valley and Kern County. You will perform maintenance on a range of equipment, ensuring reliability and safety in a demanding outdoor environment.

Ideal candidates have 2-year technical degrees or Journeyman qualifications and 3+ years in PV O&M or 5+ years in power plants. Travel and adherence to safety standards are essential components of the role.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree or equivalent Journeyman qualifications.
• 3+ years PV O&M solar technician experience or 5+ years in a power plant; 1+ year PV O&M/construction.
• Demonstrated knowledge of electrical/mechanical fundamentals and control devices.
• Ability to operate safely and follow environmental and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain utility-scale solar plants in California's Central Valley and Kern County.
• Perform corrective, preventive, and emergency maintenance on listed equipment.
• Ensure work follows safety and environmental regulations; operate independently or in crews.
