Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician, Level 1, to perform field maintenance on-site in Tucson, AZ. This entry-level role emphasizes safe work practices and hands-on learning in the solar industry.

Responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance, basic testing, and minor repairs under supervision, with on-call duties as needed. Strong safety mindset and willingness to travel to remote sites are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training a plus.
• Basic electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic system knowledge.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and Lock Out/Tag Out.
• Basic computer skills and ability to read instructions.
• Proficient English communication; reliable documentation and reports.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety and follow safe work practices.
• Operate and care for company property and tooling.
• Service solar equipment at multiple plants under supervision.
• Perform basic testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance tasks.
• Replace or repair solar parts under supervision.
• Respond to on-call requests for emergency repairs.
• Prepare accurate work documentation and reports.
• Collaborate on process improvements with EPC management.
• Maintain diversity and inclusive work culture.
