Job summary

SOLV Energy in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician, Level 1, to perform field maintenance and learn safe work practices in the solar industry. This full-time role is on-site at the Tucson jobsite and requires coordination with the team to service multiple solar plants.

You will gain hands-on experience with electrical, hydraulic, and testing equipment, respond to on-call situations, and document work performed while adhering to NFPA 70E safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Formal training or prior work experience in a mechanical/electrical setting.
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to identify and perform Lock Out/Tag Out.
• Basic understanding of solar installation/plant.
• Ability to travel up to 10% for training and site coverage.
• Basic testing equipment knowledge and strong safety focus.
• Work authorization to operate in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Uphold safety as the top priority and follow safe practices.
• Operate and care for company property and tools.
• Service solar equipment at multiple plants under supervision.
• Perform basic testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Replace or repair solar parts under supervision.
• Respond on-call for emergency equipment repairs.
• Prepare accurate documentation and reports of work.
