Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician (Level 1) for a full-time, on-site role at a Coyanosa, TX jobsite. You will perform field maintenance, follow safe work practices, and support solar, battery storage, and substation projects across the United States.

Responsibilities include operating and maintaining equipment, documenting work, and responding to on-call emergencies under supervision. A strong safety mindset and basic electrical/mechanical knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; vocational training a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work in mechanical/electrical environments through training or experience.
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to perform Lock Out/Tag Out procedures on energized parts/systems.
• Basic knowledge of solar installation/plant operations.
• Good computer and documentation skills.
• Must be able to travel and work on remote solar sites.

Responsibilities

• Operate and care for company equipment and tooling.
• Service solar equipment at multiple plants under supervision.
• Perform basic testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Prepare accurate reports of work performed.
• Respond to on-call emergencies as directed by supervisor.
• Collaborate on process improvements with EPC management.
