Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician (Level 1) to perform field maintenance at a Coyanosa, TX jobsite. This contingent role may transition to permanent; full-time on location with safety-first expectations and on-call duties.

You will service solar equipment across plants, perform basic testing, and document work with supervision while learning safe practices in the solar industry.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; vocational training is a plus.
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• NFPA 70e Safety Training certification required.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe work practices as the top priority on all tasks.
• Operate and care for company equipment and tooling.
• Service solar equipment at multiple plants under supervision.
• Perform basic testing, troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.
• Respond to on-call emergencies as directed by supervisor.
• Prepare accurate documentation and reports of work performed.
• Collaborate on process improvements with EPC management.
