Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician, Level 1, to perform field maintenance on solar installations. This is a full-time on-site role located at a jobsite in Kirtland, NM, with duties including equipment service, testing, and documentation under supervision.

The position emphasizes safety, basic electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic understanding, and willingness to travel for training and site coverage. On-call work and remote locations may be involved, with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to work in mechanical/electrical environments.
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• NFPA 70e Safety Training certification preferred.
• Remaining current in safety and technical trainings.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety and ensure safe practices at all times.
• Work safely under supervision and seek guidance as needed.
• Operate and care for company property, equipment, and tooling.
• Service solar equipment in multiple plants under supervision.
• Perform basic testing, troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.
• Replace or repair solar parts under supervision.
• Respond to on-call requests for emergency repairs.
• Prepare accurate documentation and reports of work performed.
• Collaborate on process improvements and new technologies.
